The credential

DesignSense License — UI/UX

A professional credential, not a completion badge. Valid 30 months, renewable through continued certification, a portfolio submission, and a retest. Publicly verifiable, with live status and expiry visible to anyone holding the code.

We lead your dreams through art

Two ways to qualify

The License is prerequisite-gated: the application does not open until one of these is true. That is a gate rather than a warning, and it is checked again when you apply.

Route 1 — the chain

Complete the required courses

  1. Advanced UI/UX DesignAdvanced · not published yet
  2. UI/UX for Elite ClientsElite · not published yet

Each has to be completed — enrolled is not the same thing. The certificate for each is issued on passing its own final.

Route 2 — direct challenge

Score exceptionally in any course

A final score of 90% or above in any completed course qualifies you to challenge straight into the License examination, without the prerequisite chain.

The examination itself is identical either way. The route only changes how you reached it, and it is recorded on the application so the decision stays auditable.

The examination

The highest-stakes assessment on the platform, and the reason the credential can claim anything at all.

Format
DesignSense License Examination — UI/UX
Duration
3-hour, on a server-side timer — your device clock does not end the exam
Pass mark
75%
Attempts
2 attempts, with 30 days between them
Booking and fee
Sat in a booked slot rather than on demand — seats open six days a week, and no slot is more than 10 days out. The fee is $10, settled when you book.
Proctoring
Live-proctored over a Discord video call. What that records.
Review
Anything flagged during an attempt is reviewed by a person before the result stands. A dropped connection is not counted as suspicious.

Renewal

A licence that never expired would say nothing about whether its holder still practises. Yours runs for 30 months, and renewing it means showing the work has continued — not paying a fee.

A further certificate
One course certificate earned since the licence was issued.
A portfolio submission
Work produced during the licence term, reviewed by an instructor.
A retest
The examination again, against the current syllabus rather than the one you sat.
Reminders
The first lands 90 days before expiry and escalates as the date approaches. Renewal opens in the same window.
If it lapses
The credential stays verifiable and its status reads expired. It does not vanish — an employer checking a lapsed licence should see that it lapsed, not a dead page.

What the License is, and is not

It is a private professional credential awarded by DesignSense, backed by a proctored examination and a portfolio review, with a status page anyone can check against our registry.

It is not a government licence, a regulatory registration, or membership of a professional body, and it does not entitle you to practise anywhere that requires one. We also make no claim about employment: what the credential is worth to a particular employer is their judgement. The terms set out issuance, revocation and appeals in full.
